Guardians encouraging students using unfair means in the ongoing Class X examinations being conducted by Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) is unfortunate, said Reformist Students Front (RSF) on Monday.
In a press statement, RSF publicity secretary Chinglensana Khuman said a team of the student body conducted a surprise inspection at various exam centres. During the inspection, the students were found indulging in malpractices during the examinations, he added.
He alleged the team came across mass copying and use of unfair means at Lalit Madhob Sharma High School and Khongjom School exam centres. Guardians were seen openly supplying micro copies of answers in sequence of the question papers to students through windows. Officer in-charge of the exam centre and invigilators were caught helping the students in cheating in examinations, he claimed.
However, in Wangjing High School -Wangjing, Eureka High School – Khongjom, Martin Grammar School- Kakching, Victory High School- Kakching amadi and Kakching Higher Secondary School exam centres, the examinations were conducted peacefully in free and fair manner, he said.
Appealing to the BOSEM to strictly supervise centres where examination malpractices were reported, RSF urged the authority to keep a close watch on OC of the examination centres and invigilators to ensure free and fair examinations.
