As per an office memo, 7500 doses of vaccine were allocated to different districts — 900 doses for Imphal East and Imphal West; 600 doses for Ukhrul, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Kakching, and Churachandpur; 300 doses for Jiribam, Chandel, Tengnoupal, Kamjong, Senapati, Kangpokpi, Tamenglong, Noney, and Pherzawl.

Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh on Friday announced that COVID-19 vaccination of people belonging to the age group of 18-44 years would commence from May 17.
In a video message to the people of the state, he informed that the state had received 39,000 doses so far for the vaccination of this age group, according to DIPR Manipur. He urged all those belonging to the age group to register themselves on www.cowin.gov.in or Arogya Setu App or UMANG App to receive vaccination schedules on their phone.
According to the National Health Mission, Manipur, those in the 18-44 age group can be vaccinated only after getting appointment confirmed on their registered mobile number. The vaccination gap between the first and the second dose will be 12-16 weeks, as per the latest instructions from the Government of India, it added.
In an office memo issued on Thursday, state immunization officer Dr T Manihar Singh instructed all the District Family Welfare Officers (DFWO) and District Immunization Officers (DIO) to collect the allocated, district wise, vaccine immediately and also to maintain separate vaccine stock particularly vaccines issued for the age group of 18 to 44 years.
