All Tribal Students Union Manipur (ATSUM) on Friday expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the student bodies and individuals who have stood up for the arrested tribal leaders in their hour of trial and tribulation.
In a note of gratitude issued by its information & publicity secretary Khaiminlen Doungel, ATSUM said it profusely thanked KSO GHQ and ANSAM for negotiating an amicable solution with the government and all the federating units for supporting and sustaining the ADC movement.
ATSUM also thanked Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS), Senapati District Students’ Association (SDSA), Naga Students’ Union Chandel (NSUC), Zeliongrong Students’ Union Manipur (ZSUM), Joint Students’ Body Churachandpur, KSO Sadar Hills, KSO Tengnoupal, KSO Jiribam & Tamenglong, KSO Chandel, and KSO Ukhrul, KSO Imphal, Manipur University Tribal Students’ Union (MUTSU), All College Tribal Students’ Union Imphal (ACTSUI), DM University Tribal Students’ Union (DUTSU), Joint Higher Secondary School Tribal Student Union (JHSTSU), and Tangkhul Katamnao Long Imphal (TKLI), Tamenglong Concern People’s Forum (TCPF) and Tamenglong Village Students Federation (TVSF) who have come out in protest against the arrest thereby rendering the hill districts in virtual shutdown.
ATSUM appreciated the Naga Students Federation (NSF) for the Solidarity message to ATSUM during this crucial phase of tribal movement in the Manipur state.
At the same time, ATSUM expressed regrets over the inconveniences caused to transporters, drivers and the general public who underwent hardships during the blockade.
