22 soap-cases concealed in a vegetable sack consisting of 13-15 gm of Brown Sugar were recovered by troops of Singhat battalion of Assam Rifles.

Troops of Singhat battalion of Assam Rifles under HQ IGAR (South) recovered contraband drugs (suspected brown sugar) worth around Rs 66 lakh near Baulkot village in Churachandpur district on January 11.
During a routine check, troops of Assam Rifles were checking a passenger bus (MN 05D9730). After a thorough search of the vehicle, 22 soap-cases concealed in a vegetable sack consisting of 13-15 gm of Brown Sugar were recovered and in addition to that illegal goods worth Rs 63,360 were also seized, according to sources.
Three individuals and the recovered items have been handed over to Singhat Police Station for further investigation.
