Council of Teachers’ Associations (COTA) on Wednesday announced that the association has decided to donate one day salary, as done earlier during first wave, of all categories of teachers serving under Department of Education(S), Government of Manipur to the CM COVID-19 Relief Fund from the salary of May, 2021 payable in June, 2021 as a gesture of its concern and support in the fight against the deadly virulent second wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
In a release on Wednesday, COTA said that in this regard executive committee of COTA has approached the concerned authorities to arrange the needful so as to make the concern DDO’s to deduct one day’s salary from individual employees.
COTA also expressed its serious concern amidst the struggle of ROP rectification at the calamitous & predicament situation of COVID-19 second wave rising positive cases and compounding rate of fatalities in the state.
COTA also appealed to all the “right thinking” citizens to join the fight against COVID-19 by observing SOP’s and CAB’s. It also extended its salute to all the COVID-19 warriors for their selfless and tireless efforts.
