Rain, thunderstorm, lightning, gusty wind with 30 to 50 kmph speed expected till March 31 in hills and valley areas of Manipur, warned Manipur State Disaster Management Authority (MSDMA), Relief Disaster Management Department.

Manipur State Disaster Management Authority (MSDMA), Relief Disaster Management Department in coordination with Regional Meteorological centre, Guwahati has issued advisory weather and has issued weather warning and asked the public to be alert so as to avoid fallout of natural calamities between March 28 to March 31.
A release issued by MSDMA said that in the coming days mentioned, Manipur will experience light to moderate rainfall which is expected to be fairly widespread. The weather may be partly cloudy with light rainfall from March 28 to March 31 all over the state.
However, thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty wind with wind speed of 30 to 50 kmph is likely to hit certain pockets in the districts of Imphal West, Imphal West, Chandel, Senapati, Tamenglong, Jiribam, Noney, Churachandpur and Pherzawl during this period.
The minimum and maximum temperature of the Stale will vary between 14°C and 32°C respectively. Through the release, MSDMA, Relief & Disaster Management Department have urged the public to exercise caution to avoid any eventualities during the period mentioned.
MSDMA has also requested all the District Disaster Management Authorities and other line departments who are responsible, to attend to any emergencies caused by natural calamities and to be on ALERT per the Standing Operating Procedure to save lives and properties during period.
