The proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) on Wednesday stated that it had every reason to believe that the long practiced tradition of healthcare fraud by doctors and their secret agents in mainland India has finally reached Manipur.
The UNLF has alleged that three persons – Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of Shija Hospital, Nephrology Department Doctor Sanasam Ronet (38) of Bishnupur Ward No. 8; Phaamdom Mangalsana of Phumlou mayai leikai; and Ningombam Nandini, former nurse at Shija Hospital & Reaseach Institute of Meitram Awang Leikai are involved in a healthcare fraud racket.
In a press release issued by M Sak-hen, UNLF deputy secretary of publicity, it has been alleged that Agent Ph Mangalsana and Agent N Nandini have been engaged by Dr Sanasam Ronet.
The proscribed group said that the three persons failed to turn up even after they had been summoned by the party during UNLF’s SIT probe for the last 45 days. Since they failed to turn up, UNLF considers them as absconders, said the outfit.
UNLF has asked close-relatives of the three to physically contact UNLF if they wanted to save the lives of three within two months so that they clarify of their mistakes.
All the others who are involved in the racket have also been asked to contact UNLF within the given time frame.
