Campaign for Peace & Democracy (Manipur) declared the result of an essay competition titled “DRUGS PANDEMIC IN MANIPUR: Problems and Ways to Fight it”.
Glady Kshetrimayum, Lhingneilam Touthang (Anju), and Gurumayum Gopalkrishna were declared the first (Rs 5000), second (Rs 3000), and third (Rs. 2000) respectively. The cash prizes were dedicated to late Leishangthem Hemanta of Singjamei Leishangthem Leikai by his daughter Sushila (Ibemcha), stated a release by the campaign.
The jury members, who judged the ten best essays, at the online interview held on July 5, 2021 were Beerjurekha Samom, Priyobata Trengbam, Rajeev Mairembam, and RK Gunikanta. A special prize (Rs 1000) was awarded to Thoibisana Soram (Class VI) by the Gateway Trading Academy, Imphal.
Ten other best essays were also selected. They were written by — Deborah Lalchawimawi, Gurumayum Lunlcima, Jeetesh Kumar Nongthombam, Limhoingambi Keisham, Rajkumari Baby Sana, Sapam Swati Devi, and Yumlembam Premjit Singh.
