Md Kabir Ahamad was appointed as the NSUI Manipur State Unit president by the All India Congress Committee (AICC) on February 18.
The newly appointed National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) Manipur State Unit president Md Kabir Ahamad is hoping to bring “maximum” efficiency and involvement of youths and students. He also aims to organise social media workshops at state and district level, and volunteers most active in such platforms are going to be “recognised and encouraged”.
In a letter written to the Manipur Pradesh Congress (Committee MPCC), Kabir said that in order to revamp the organisational structure of NSUI Manipur, membership drive will be conducted and also committees at colleges/ university, assembly, district, and state level will be formed. Different cells like Social Media cell, Sports cell, Cultural cell, RTI cell, Legal cell, etc will be formed, he added.
Apart from organising training programmes (for NSUI activities) at state, zonal and district level regularly, the NSUI Manipur president said that debate/talent hunt competition. He also contended that through this platform students and youths will be encouraged and also can identify and nurture the future spokesperson and active and qualified volunteers.
Kabir Ahamad further said that the NSUI Manipur will actively participate in state and national issues in the interest of the party. Through the Students Parliament, the NSUI Manipur will be able to provide a platform to all the students’ organisations to speak up. “With this our organisation which is neutral to religion and caste, can take up the lead role and fill up the empty space of a leading organisation at present, he added.Md Kabir Ahamad, NSUI new president
