Manipur polls: Special Observers, CEO holds Interactive Session with   DEOs, SPs of 5 districts

During the interaction, Special General Observer for Manipur Pravir Krishna, IAS (Retd), Special Police Observer Arun Kumar, IPS (Retd.) and Special Expenditure Observer Rajesh Tuteja, Ex IRS(IT) briefed the Observers, DEOs and SPs on ways to conduct the forthcoming General Election to the Manipur Assembly Election effectively as per the ECI Guidelines

Chief Electoral Officer, Manipur along with Special Observers (General/Police/ Expenditure) had an interactive session on Friday with District Election Officers (DEOs) and Superintendent of Police (SPs) of five districts of the State which are going to poll in the 1st Phase on 28th February, 2022, through video conferencing. General, Police and Expenditure Observers deployed in the five districts also took part in the interactive session in person.
According to a press statement, during the interaction, Special General Observer for Manipur Pravir Krishna, IAS (Retd), Special Police Observer Arun Kumar, IPS (Retd.) and Special Expenditure Observer Rajesh Tuteja, Ex IRS(IT) briefed the Observers, DEOs and SPs on ways to conduct the forthcoming General Election to the Manipur Assembly Election effectively as per the Guidelines of the Election Commission of India. The Special Observers apprised the attendees on Randomization of polling personnel, necessity of double checking of electoral rolls to make it accurate and foolproof and effective utilization of Central Armed Police Force to be deployed during the poll days among others.
Thoughts and suggestions were also sought from Observers, DEOs and SPs in which some Observers shared their views on the preparedness of poll. Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Agrawal also assured that all possible efforts would be taken up to conduct the election effectively and to uphold the credibility of the Election Commission.
