Candidates, who appeared in the recruitment for Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in the Department of Education, Government of Manipur, urged the candidates awaiting results of other departments to unite and launch a non-cooperation movement against BJP candidates in the upcoming 2022 election, if the government fails to declare the results by November 10.
Successive governments, including the incumbent BJP led Manipur government have been playing with the future of the youth of the state by not declaring results of recruitment to various departments, said Sinam Somananda, one of the MTS candidates, while addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club on Wednesday.
While the recruitment for MTS was first initiated under the previous Congress regime in 2016, the present government issued a fresh notification in 2018. The written examination was conducted in May, 2019, but the result has not been declared till date, he added.
Recently, education minister S Rajen had declared in a function that the results of all the recruitment would be declared by September 30. It is now November, and there has been no word from the minister, he lamented.
Stating that the results of recruitment for various posts have not been declared by other departments of the government as well, Somananda urged the other candidates to unite and launch a non-cooperation movement in the upcoming election against BJP candidates.
Somananda also questioned the promise made by the BJP in the run-up to the 2017 state general election, which had declared that one job will be given to each household in its vision document.
