Shangshak Battalion under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised an inter school sports meet at Shangshak, Ukhrul Manipur on 8th November 2022.
242 students from 6 schools attended/participated in the event. The students from JNV Ramva, Patkai Christian School Shangshak, New Life Mission School Lungreiphung, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Awasiya Vidhyalaya Shangshak, St. Paul School Ramva and ARPS Shangshak took part in the sports meet.

The students and others present were also educated on various career opportunities in the field of sports, both in forces and outside. Further, the parents of the children were made aware about the upcoming Sainik School and RIMC examinations and preparation required to avail the opportunities.
The parents, children & faculty members of respective Schools appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the region and requested to organise such sports events in future also.
