On the third day since the election notification was issued, former Minister Haokholet Kipgen, chief of Hengbung village, filed his nomination as an independent candidate from 51-Saitu Assembly Constituency for the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 on Thursday. He became the first candidate to file nomination in Kangpokpi district.
The former BJP national vice-president ST Morcha filed his nomination to the Returning Officer, 51-Saitu Assembly Constituency with nomination paper No.1/LA/2022/RO-Saitu. His electoral roll number is 51/1-253.
The 67-year-old veteran politician has ten proposers.
