MPCC vice-president Ratankumar, strongly denounced the order of shifting of the building of Imphal West DIET Center from Mayang Imphal.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday at Congress Bhawan in Imphal, the former minister said that during his tenure as an education minister, the site for constructing the Imphal West was finalised at Mayang Imphal with proper land survey and also laid the foundation.
Stating that according to a letter to the Directorate of SCERT, it is mentioned that the top layer of the selected site is weak and double piling is mandatory, he asked where the selected site is as there is no construction works in the previously finalised site.
He asserted that it is the culture of the BJP government to change the names of policies and schemes and shifting office buildings.
He also urged the chief minister to intervene in this matter and appealed to terminate the order of shifting the institute building of Imphal West DIET center from Mayang Imphal. Otherwise such steps would amount to protest and all forms of democratic agitations will be carried out by the people, he added.
