Distributing essential items in six localities of the constituency, Poonam Rani Wangkhem reached out to 22 victim-families in the name of her late brother, former MLA Vivekraj Wangkhem.

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee general secretary Poonam Rani Wangkhem, who is the elder sister of former MLA late Vivekraj Wangkhem, reached out to the families of Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency (AC) who had lost their loved ones to COVID-19 in the name of the former MLA.
Poonam Rani Wangkhem on Wednesday distributed essential items to 22 victim families of six localities including Porompat Thawanthaba, Bamon Kampu, Kongba Nongthombam Leikai, Kongba Nandeibam Leikai, Kongpan Chanam Leikai, and Thambankhong.
She said that she is following in the footsteps of developing the assembly constituency envisioned by her late father former MLA Wangkhem Bashantakumar and his brother. She also exhorted the people of the constituency to dispel the stigma associated with the families affected by COVID-19.
Poonam Rani Wangkhem aims to reach out to the families of 75 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus from the constituency. She also appealed to all to work towards defeating the dreaded COVID-19.
