In a vibrant stride toward nurturing tomorrow’s leaders, the Thokchom Birachandra Singh Memorial Trust hosted a transformative One Day Leadership Training Program on April 6, 2025, at Kongpai Kongkham Leikai. The event united over a hundred aspiring young leaders and seasoned professionals, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and strategies to drive ethical, proactive change in Manipur.

Under the theme “Planting the Seeds of Leadership: A New Dawn for Manipur’s Youth,” the programme featured speakers from diverse fields—Yoga, Law, Business, and Civic Engagement—who delivered impassioned talks on self-discipline, visionary thinking, and social responsibility. Attendees were urged to embrace leadership as a skill honed through “learning, experience, and courage,” rather than an innate trait.

At the heart of the initiative was Jotin, founder of the Trust, who outlined his mission to cultivate resilient, socially conscious leaders rooted in Manipur’s culture yet inspired by global progress. “True leadership begins when one dares to envision change and acts with clarity, courage, and commitment,” he declared, citing examples from countries like China and even cities like Dubai. His vision prioritizes long-term growth over quick fixes, aiming to equip youth with integrity, innovation, and empathy.

“Our youth are not just leaders of tomorrow—they are the changemakers of today,”* affirmed Mr. Jotin, encapsulating the spirit of a new era for Manipur.

Participants lauded the programme’s practical insights. “The sessions showed us how to blend global values with local realities—something Manipur’s youth urgently needs,” shared one attendee. Others highlighted the emphasis on ethical responsibility and community-driven change.

The Trust’s efforts mark only the beginning. Future collaborations with TFM is expected to spotlight Jotin’s journey and the Trust’s expanding initiatives, offering deeper inspiration for the public.

As Manipur strides toward a future shaped by its youth, this programme stands as a beacon of hope—proving that with guidance, passion, and unity, the seeds of leadership can blossom into transformative action.
