With an aim to empower Naga youths to excel in the dynamic industries of aviation, hospitality, and in the cruise lines, Eagle Crest has launched its training academy and consultancy at its head office at Aier’s Enclave, Near IMC Hall Dimapur. Eagle Crest Training Academy & Consultancy (ECTA & C) was formally inaugurated on February 15. Deputy commissioner, Dimapur, Tinojongshi Chang graced the inauguration as the special guest, while District Employment Officer (DEO), Dimapur, Gideon Sumi, was the guest of honour.
ECTA & C is the erstwhile “Emporium” where more than 10,000 passed out students from institution have been placed across the globe in aviation, hospitality, and cruise line sectors.
In his address, Dimapur DC Tinojongshi Chang lauded the CEO, ECTA&C, Temjenkala Aier, and her team for their dedication and contributions towards youth empowerment through training and placement programmes.
He also reminisced about his earlier association with Emporium when he was ADC Jalukie. He said Emporium had played a very crucial role in providing employment opportunities to the Naga youths by placing them in national and international sectors.
Encouraging all educated youngsters to opt for skilled-based job opportunities in private sectors as government jobs has already saturated, Tinojongshi said more than 20,000 applicants sat for the Grade-IV 13 vacancies which included graduates and engineers.
He encouraged for skill development as a viable tool for job opportunities. The Nagaland government is leaving no stone unturned in supporting vocational trainings for the youth as the skill-based training would enhance economic opportunities and reduce number of government job= seekers.
While assuring for his continued support as chairman, Skill Development Committee (SDC), the DC Dimapur assured for collaborations with business associations in order to strengthen unemployment prospects, and later launched the official website of the ECTA & C.
Guest of honour, Gideon Sumi acknowledged his long-term association with the institute (Eagle Crest) dating back to the year 2007.
He pointed out that skill development is not for sustenance but empowerment of sustainability. He expressed happiness that the institute has collaborated with IDAN, government of Nagaland, and others including National Skill Development (NSDC), Skill India, and Tourism and Hospitality, Skill Council of India (THSC).
In her welcome address, CEO, Eagle Crest, Temjenkala Aier, provided an indept about the training academy and consultancy. She said the day marked a “monumental day” in its journey—a moment when it introduces to the world something that has been years in the making. She expressed her determination and hope that the institution would take “flight” when the right moment arrived, when the right vision, the right support, and the right purpose aligned.
Temjenkala also shared that the academy is set out with one simple goal: to create a brand that resonates with simply – to LEAD SOAR & EMPOWER- dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey to success by unlocking their true potential, lead with purpose, and soar to new heights in their careers and personal empowerment.
Sharing on the transition from “EMPORIUM to EAGLE CREST”, the CEO, Temjenkala Aier, at a press conference after the formal programme disclosed that its franchisor relationship with the brand “EMPORIUM” has been over and that the decision while not easy, signified a new direction and an exciting future ahead for all.
This decision, she said was made with a vision to cater to the unique needs of Naga community & company and over the years, had worked hard to understand the ever-evolving social, economic, and cultural fabric of its surroundings.
