As many as 12 stolen luxury cars were recovered by a Delhi police team from different parts of Manipur.

The Delhi police team arrived in Imphal West on October 24 and recovered four stolen SUVs (Toyota Fortuners, white in colour), according to a source.
The same police team, with the assistance of Bishnupur police, seized four SUVs from Bishnupur on October 26.
On October 27, the Delhi police team seized another four SUVs (Toyota Fortuners and Hyundai Creta) from Mongshangei, Imphal West, as per the source.
Manipur has become a haven for notorious gangs in the business of stolen vehicles. In July, 2021, Delhi police had busted an inter-state gang of auto-lifters by arresting a PhD scholar and a former Delhi University student hailing from Manipur. The police recovered 12 stolen luxury cars from Imphal and Thoubal areas.
