Suspected armed cadres of an underground outifit ambushed a team of Special Commando of Manipur police on Wednesday near Rengpang village, under Nungba Police Station along the Imphal-Jiribam road.
A rifleman of Special Commando, Rengpang Outpost, Sachikumar sustained bullet wounds in his abdomen during the ambush. And he has been brought to Imphal for treatment, according to reports.
