Manipur People’s Army (MPA) of the proscribed United National Liberation Front (UNLF) on February 9 observed its 36th anniversary at its CHQ, different battalions/units, different places of Manipur and other places outside Manipur.
According to a press statement issued by Media Coordinator, DOP: UNLF Th. Charairongba, the anniversary’s main function was successfully observed at CHQ and MPA’s GHQ. The function at CHQ was attended by Central Committee members, party cadres, different departments’ assistant secretaries, directors, staff officers, staff members.
At the GHQ, the anniversary was attended by MPA’s GSOs, officers, NCOs, privates, MPA authorities and senior officers. MPA’s battalions – 291Bn, 293Bn and their commanding officers, seniors, NCOs, privates also took part in the function.
In Manipur, the function was attended by district secretaries, party members and local volunteers. On the occasion, MPA paid tributes to those who had sacrificed their lives for the struggle by observing a two-minute silence.
