Unibrow Studio, an Imphal based creative agency, has introduced the first edition of Unibrow Film Festival 2021. The festival opened on August 10 and will run till September 10.
Unibrow had also invited entries for short films under the theme of ‘Life Through a Window’. Entries will be accepted till September 10. The short film competitive section of the festival is aimed at infusing positivity and giving individuals an opportunity to explore their creative sides through a medium that they are most comfortable with – the mobile phones.
The inspiration behind this festival comes from the everyday stories of resilience in the midst of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the indomitable spirit of the people despite the untold hardships that one faces each day, says a press note issued by Unibrow Studio.
Tedawnshim Khaling, the co-founder of Unibrow, says “The Covid pandemic changed life as we know it and the extended lockdowns have compounded the misery of the common people. It has also revealed the gaps in our system and the stark difference between the rich and the poor during these hard times. This film festival aims to be a platform where people can amplify their voice and share their stories.”

All the winners will be selected by distinguished jury members from the film and creative industry – Pradip Kurbah, Meena Longjam, Romi Meetei and Prasana Dongol.
